The General measure of Enterprising Tendency test (GET2) is a measure of enterprising tendency; developed for educational use and self assessment.

The General Enterprise Tendency (GET) test measures five entrepreneurial attributes such as:

  • Need for achievement
  • Need for autonomy
  • Creativity

  • Internal locus of control

Problems with psychological testing of entrepreneurs include the varying definitions of entrepreneur, numerous characteristics attributed to entrepreneurs & uncertainty about their significance.

Literature review undertaken to support test suggested an emphasis on these key characteristics & the test was built on this.

Enterprising tendency is defined as the tendency to start up & manage ‘projects’ – not just a business.

37-47 – You may not want to start a business alone, look for a partner who can complement you in your weaker areas.

48-59 – You have potential but need to develop yourself, address those weaker areas.

60-70 – You possess the attributes of the entrepreneur
